What I'd love to see...

I'm a "YWAM Associate" and running a brand/marketing/communications consultancy here in Melbourne, Australia.

I would love to see some sort of a "talent database" of YWAM or YWAM-connected people so that when I have a need for a freelancer and it doesn't matter where they are in the world, I can go look at that database, and at the very least I will know that that person comes with some sort of YWAM endorsement, or somesuch.

Right now I need a PHP programmer with really strong REST skills, to help me do some vairly hard-core mashup stuff. Sure, I can look here and there, but it would be great to know if anyone in the YWAM "world" was that person, or connected to them!

Has such a database of talent ever been attempted? I can only imagine what skills are lying around :)

Thoughts?

Has Not been attempted as far as I know ...

That is a very good idea. It might be something that we can add to ywamit.com when I have time to look into it. I am sure that there are modules that could help ...

Does anyone know of modules that would help make this a possibility?

Thanks

something simple

Hi,
I know that at past CRIT conferences, a paper was passed around where you could fill out your contact info & skills that you have & those skills that you'd be willing to share. It was put into an Excel spreadsheet & then emailed to all of the participants... that was in 2006.... but I don't know if it was done at the subsequent CRITs.

There's an attempt on ywamkb.net to put together something kind of related to this, but I think the method is a little bit like that Excel spreadsheet... not very effective.

I'll definitely keep this in mind.
