Douglass recently told me about a great product called Gobby. Gobby uses the obby protocol to allow multiple users to chat online and edit documents AT THE SAME TIME! Yes - people can type at the same time in the same document.

Hi @ all!
O'Reilly, together with the University of Illinois, is offering a online study for all sorts of IT courses. That includes a certificate.
Alex wrote an interesting comment in the discussion about outsourcing vs. interaction & training & I thought that this was an excellent topic to spin off into a new discussion.
Hey YWAMit buddies,
I was at Kona recently and had a meeting with Chong Ho, head of IT. After that meeting I knew that I wanted to be either a part of that development/ministry team or a part of another. My only problem is that my knowledge is limited. After that meeting I really felt that to be of use and to be able to do the things that I dream of doing I need training.
The need for a dynamic collaboration tool and info repository for YWAM came out in some of the group discussions at CRIT'05 in Colorado Springs. During CRIT'05 a Knowledge Base group was formed to keep looking at this area. Here are some reflections on that.
Here's the review for the 2nd & final week of the seminar in Sweden at YWAM Dalarna. Over the weekend, we had some downtime where we all just spent time together & had fun playing cards, calling folks back home via Skype, as well as the occasional IP connection with YWAMers over GENESIS. We went to a church in Borlänge & then went for lunch. Some of us then walked around a local mall, while the rest of us went to Aquanova, an indoor water park with slides, pools & the very important sauna.
Hi all. I thought I'd give you a little report on how this first week has ended up.
We started off the week on Monday with Sindre putting into us the fear of God, literally. I know at least I was squirming in my seat, as I sat nearly dumbfounded with the realization of the incredible importance that this tool of GENESIS is lending to YWAM ministry, not to mention how God uses this tool, & how I, as a potential GENESIS coordinator, must act as a spiritual gatekeeper. I came to this seminar merely to become an effective "hand lender" to the GENESIS coordinator at our YWAM center in Latvia. I had no idea that I was possibly stepping into a greater role with this. I'll let you know how this pans out.
A few weeks ago we started a book for "How to's" as it were - the idea of this being where IT guys can come and put steps on how to do certain tasks. My questions for the YWAMITers are:
